Morning drive to Tawang (190 km) the land of the Monpa Tribes and the major center of the Mahayana Buddhists is standing on the spur of a hill over 12000 ft. above the sea level. On the way to Tawang lies the world's second highest pass - the Sela Pass (14000 feet) which runs through a small ridge and along a placid Lake called the Paradise Lake. Day 05 : Tawang
Full day at Tawang visiting more than 300 years old monastery (locally called Gompa) is considered to be the second largest monastery of the world. 12 km on the North West of Tawang, Brandung Chung Ani Gompa, the monastery of the nuns. Overnight Tawang.

Day 06 : Tawang / Dirang
Morning drive to Dirang enroute visit Monpa Tribal village. Overnight in Tourist Lodge or Tents.

Day 07 : Dirang / Nameri
Morning drive to Nameri National Park. Check into Eco Camp. Post lunch free for Angling or Trekking or Rafting. Overnight in Nameri.

Day 08 : Nameri - Itanagar
Morning drive to Itanagar (265 km) the state capital. Evening visit the State Museum where the life-style have been depicted, with help of maps and miniature diagrams. While the life-styles of all the major tribes have been depicted, the display, apes cover a wide range of subjects such as people, house types, festivals, dances, handicrafts etc. Overnight in hotel.

Day 09 : Itanagar / Ziro
Early morning drive to Ziro (150 km) enroute visit Nishi villages. Ziro is almost a level valley enclosed on all sides by pine-clad low stooping hills. This area, also called Apatani Plateau, is famous for Paddy-cum-Fish culture. Post lunch visit the Apatani Tribal villages. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 10 : Ziro
Full day sight-seeing programme of Apatani villages, Tagin Fish Farms, Pine and Bamboo Groves and Craft Centre. Evening local traditional cultural programmes. Overnight in hotel.

Day 11 : Ziro / Daporijo

Day 03: Digboi: The oil city
We will drive to Digboi(57KM) after breakfast. Digboi, having the second oldest oil field and the world's oldest operating machinery, still producing in excess of its capacity, won the name "the oil-city of Assam". Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 04: Digboi: Oil well
Sights of AssamAfter breakfast, we will visit the oil field to see the oil wells. Digboi is not only an oil field, but an oil museum with world's oldest operating oil machinery. In the evening, drive down the meandering roads passing the hillocks to have a very pleasant experience. Overnight at Digboi.

Day 05: Jorhat: Tea-capital, the Thengal Mansion, Assamese village
Early in the morning, we will drive to Jorhat(207KM), the tea-capital of Assam. On arrival at Jorhat, you will be accommodated in the Thengal Mansion, a historic ancestral house of a Tea Planter amidst an Asssamese village, 15 kms from Jorhat. The 72-year old Thangal Mansion is to answer the queries on Assamese culture and tradition. After lunch and rest, take a walk in a nearby village to see the simplicity of their lives.

Day 06: Kaziranga: Toklai Research Station
After breakfast, we will visit Toklai Research Station to know everything and anything about tea-plantation. Having lunch at Jorhat, we will leave for Kaziranga(90KM), the home of the rhino with one horn. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 07: Kaziranga: Elephant Safari, Rhino
Sights of AssamEarly morning explore central area of Kaziranga National park on an elephant safari. Ride an Elephant through the park chasing a unicorn rhino along with a wide range of rare species. After lunch again take jeep safari to the central area of the park. Rest of the day at leisure to explore nature. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 08: Kaziranga: Jeep Safari, Rhino, Tea Estate
Visit a nearby Tea Estate and a tribal village to admire the living style of innocent villagers. After breakfast go on jeep safari in the eastern range of park with packed lunch. Spent the day exploring Mother Nature. Overnight stay in hotel.

Day 09: Guwahati: Basista Ashram, Brahmaputra cruise
We will drive to Guwahati(220KM) after breakfast at Kazironga. On arrival check in to your hotel and take a brief rest. At afternoon we will visit Basista Ashram Picturesque old shrine through which flow the three legendary rocky streams-the Sandhya,Lalita and Kanta. Overnight at hotel.

Nagaland

Located in the far north-eastern part of India, Nagaland is one of the beautiful states of India. Bordering the state of Assam to the west, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam to the north, Nagaland also borders Burma to the east and Manipur to the south. Kohima is its capital, of which the largest city is Dimapur. Nagaland came into existence on 1st December 1963. There are 11 districts into which the entire state is divided. These are Kohima, Dimapur, Kiphire, Wokha, Zunheloto, Twensang, Mon, Mokokchung, Phek, Longleng and Peren. This state of India is primarily a mountainous state. Most important activity in terms of economy is agriculture. Principle crops include corn, pulses, rice, millets, tobacco, oilseeds, fibres, sugarcane, and potatoes.

Day 04: Mon
Visit typical Konyak tribal village, Shangnyu. Ruled by the chief Angh, it is one of the prominent village of the Mon District. There is a wonderful wooden monument measuring 8ft. in height and 12 ft. breadth which is believe to be constructed by heavenly angels. Carvings of human beings and other creatures are engraved on this monument. Also visit to Konyak Murungs, where one can still see the collection of human skulls. Konyaks were headhunters in the olden days and used to keep the enemies head as a trophy. Nagaland TourOvernight in tourist lodge.

Day 05: Mon - Mokokchung
After breakfast drive to Mokokchung, the district headquarter situated at an altitude of 1325 meters above sea level. This picturesque town is the cultural centre of the AO Nagas. The AO warriors used to wear the beautiful black and red hand-woven shawl with its white decorated band to signify their prowess over their enemies. The two main festivals of AO's are Moatsu in early May and Tsungremmong in August. Overnight in Circuit House.

Day 06: Mokokchung - Kohima
After breakfast drive to Kohima the state capital and hill station which is situated at an altitude of 1444 meters above sea level 180km, 7hrs drive. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 07: Kohima
After breakfast visit to Khonoma, an Angami tribal village. 20 km towards the west of Kohima, the village has its own traditions of valour and courage. History reveals that khonoma provided protection to several villages in good old days. The village gate tells the story of the British infiltration into Naga .Hills. War Cemetry : A symbolic memorial raised as citation for the supreme sacrifices Nagaland Tourmade by the officers and man during the IInd World War.
